Jim Whitt presents a thank-you plaque to
Councilmember Janice Hahn for her role in
preserving the USS LA artifacts in Gibson Park.

Norm Booth receives a plaque from
Jim Whitt, thanking him for his dedicated
service to the USS LA Association.
The plaque was donated by James E. Baker.

At Jim Whitt's request, Roy Coats
told about his work to save the
  USS LA artifacts now on display
at the LAMM & Gibson Park

The 1951 commissioning pennant was donated
to the LAMM by the widow of Thomas "Red" 
McMullen. Marifrances Trivelli & Albert Alcala 
accepted the pennant from Bob Diyorio (center).

US Merchant Marine Veterans representative
John Pitts thanked the USS LA Assoc. team for
their support in saving Gibson Park monuments.

The LAMM tug "Angel's Gate" gave harbor
tours to two sets of USS LA sailors.  The 
Saturday afternoon tugboat rides were
 enjoyed by all the USS LA sailors & guests.

Tom Penderghast played guitar, sang and 
presided over the song fest on Saturday night.
