USS LA CA-135 Information

USS Los Angeles CA-135 Paintings

The USS Los Angeles CA-135 artwork shown below was painted by Arthur Beaumont, famous marine painter & illustrator.  Mr. Beaumont was heavily involved in the fundraising efforts to build the USS Los Angeles - he created a limited-edition lithograph & a number of posters for that purpose.  His attachment to the USS Los Angeles continued when he went on the ship's shakedown cruise to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 1945.  Mr. Beaumont's USS Los Angeles artwork is included here with the generous permission of the painter's grandson, Arthur (Beau) Beaumont II.  Thank you, Beau.  Copies of this artwork may not be used for commercial purposes.  There is an excellent website (see note below)  that displays Arthur Beaumont's naval artworks and provides a most comprehensive biography of Mr. Beaumont (includes his USS Los Angeles involvement).
